【導入理由】

SHIZUKA Stillness Panelは、韓国・江南に位置する芸術大学・実用音楽科のステージ演奏室における音響環境改善を目的として導入されました。当該演奏室は天井が低く、細長い矩形構造のため、構造的に初期反射音が過度に発生し、音の輪郭が曖昧になり解像度が低下する問題がありました。さらに、特定の低域・中域・高域が過度に強調され、とりわけ中低域においてブーミングが頻発していました。これらの課題を改善し、よりバランスの取れた音響環境を構築するため、韓国のイ・ドンフン代表との協議を経て本製品を導入しました。本製品は輸入初期から継続的に注目していた製品であり、KOBASHOWでの実機体験を通じて性能への信頼が確信に変わり、導入に至りました。

【導入後の効果】

予算上の制約により、初期導入では十分な数量を一度に設置することはできませんでしたが、それでも中低域の過度な共振が軽減され、反射音の減少によりステージ上のサウンドの整理度が明確に向上しました。本製品は可搬性に優れ、ドラム、ギターアンプ、コーラス背面など多様な配置が可能で、ステージコンセプトに応じた柔軟な運用が行えました。特に印象的だったのは、直接音に対する反射音の比率が大幅に低減し、音像の明瞭度が著しく向上した点です。また、アンサンブルや音声伝達に適したバランスの良いRT（残響時間）が実現され、楽器・ボーカル双方の明瞭度が向上しました。一般的な吸音パネルのように音を過度にデッドにすることなく、自然なライブ感を維持したまま、空間の性格を損なわずに音響環境を改善できたと感じています。SHIZUKA Stillness Panelは、空間構造に起因する音響的制約を効果的に補完し、過度な反射や共振を制御することで、演奏者と観客の双方に対して、より正確で一貫性のあるサウンド環境を提供するソリューションであると考えます。

【Reason for Adoption】

The SHIZUKA Stillness Panel was introduced to improve the acoustic environment of a performance room used by the Applied Music Department of an arts institution located in Gangnam, Seoul. Due to the room’s low ceiling and long rectangular structure, excessive early reflections were structurally unavoidable, resulting in blurred sound definition and reduced clarity. In addition, certain low, mid, and high frequency ranges were overly emphasized, with frequent booming occurring particularly in the low-mid range. To address these issues and establish a more balanced acoustic environment, the product was introduced following consultation with Mr. Donghun Lee in Korea. The SHIZUKA Stillness Panel had been of interest since the early stages of its importation, and hands-on experience at the KOBASHOW further confirmed its performance, leading to the decision to adopt the product.

【Results and Effectiveness】

Due to budgetary limitations, it was not possible to install a large quantity during the initial implementation, which restricted the ability to completely resolve all acoustic issues at once. Nevertheless, excessive low-mid resonance was partially reduced, and a clear improvement in overall sound organization on stage was achieved as reflections decreased. The panel’s portability allowed it to be placed flexibly behind drums, guitar amplifiers, and chorus sections, enabling adaptable use depending on stage configuration and performance requirements. Most notably, the ratio of reflected sound relative to direct sound was significantly reduced, resulting in a marked improvement in sound image clarity. Additionally, a more balanced reverberation time (RT), suitable for ensemble performance and vocal projection, was achieved, improving intelligibility for both instruments and vocals. Unlike conventional absorption panels that often make a space excessively dead, the SHIZUKA Stillness Panel maintained a natural live ambience while effectively improving the acoustic environment without compromising the character of the room. Overall, the SHIZUKA Stillness Panel can be considered an effective solution for compensating for acoustic limitations caused by room structure, controlling excessive reflections and resonance, and providing a more accurate and consistent sound environment for both performers and audiences.
