ドラマーとしてレコーディングを行う際、常に課題となっていたのは、演奏時に感じる響きと実際の録音結果との間に生じるギャップでした。空間内の過度な反射音により、スティックタッチによるアタックやダイナミクスが不明瞭になり、タムやキックの中低域が濁ることで、チューニングの意図が正確に反映されない状況が繰り返されていました。演奏者としての打感とサウンドをより正確にコントロールし、ドラム本来のキャラクターを明確に録音するため、本製品を導入しました。

設置後、演奏時のレスポンスの変化を即座に体感しました。不要な反射音が抑制され、スティックタッチに対するアタックが明瞭になり、チューニング時に意図したピッチと響きがより正確に表現されるようになりました。特にキックやタムの低域が整理されたことで、演奏中のサウンドバランスをより的確に判断できるようになり、ドラマーにとって非常にコントロールしやすい環境が整いました。自然なライブ感を保ちながら、演奏とレコーディングの両面で確かな改善効果を実感しています。

【Reason for Adoption】
As a drummer working primarily in recording environments, one of the most persistent challenges has been the discrepancy between the sound and feel experienced while playing and the actual recorded result. Excessive reflections within the room blurred stick attack and dynamic response, while the low-mid frequencies of toms and kick drums became indistinct, repeatedly preventing tuning intentions from being accurately captured.In order to achieve more precise control over both the physical response and the resulting sound, and to clearly capture the inherent character of the drums, this product was introduced.
【Results and Effectiveness】
Immediately after installation, a noticeable change in response was felt while playing. Unnecessary reflections were reduced, resulting in clearer stick attack and significantly improved articulation. The intended pitch and resonance achieved during tuning were reproduced far more accurately. In particular, the low frequencies of the kick and toms became more controlled, allowing for more precise judgment of overall sound balance during performance. As a result, the environment became considerably easier to manage from a drummer’s perspective. Importantly, these improvements were achieved while maintaining a natural live feel, benefiting both performance and recording applications.
【ZUNE’s Profile】
Lee Junhyun is a professional session drummer with extensive experience spanning live performance, broadcast, and studio recording. Known for his stable groove and deep musical understanding, he is active across a wide range of musical genres.
He is an official endorser of Soudzaid and Earthworks, and serves as the drummer for the band Adios Audio, maintaining a strong presence in live performance settings. In parallel, he conducts performance and recording work based at Drumbeat Drum Studio.
His broadcast appearances include major Korean music programs such as Nanjang, All That Music, Duran, Music Bank, Immortal Songs, EBS Space Gonggam, Yoo Hee-yeol’s Sketchbook, and Show Champion. Through numerous recording sessions, he has also established a strong reputation as a studio drummer.
Lee has performed at many of Korea’s leading music festivals, including the Incheon Pentaport Rock Festival, Greenplugged (Nanji Hangang Park), Jisan Rock Festival, Jaraseom Folk Festival, Busan Rock Festival, and Mint Festa. Additional performances include large-scale cultural events such as the World Cup Plaza performance at Gwanghwamun, Korea Live Music Festival, Hongseong Rhythm & Barbecue, and the Jeonju Sori Festival.
In advertising and media, he has participated in performance and filming for Asahi and Hite commercials, and made a cameo appearance on SNL Korea – Dating High School. His experience also extends into the performing arts, including overseas tours in South America with the Kim Jaeduk Dance Company, and session work for the musical “You Are My Destiny.”
He is currently active in multiple projects, including the bands Crackberry and Electronic Sheep Solutions, continuing to expand his career as a performance-driven drummer working seamlessly between live and studio environments.
